As you all are aware, we are just weeks from the opening of our new school. We hope that you are as excited for this upcoming school year as we are.
We are your PTA Executive Board. I am Katie Banks, the president, Angie Voseipka is our Legislative Vice President, Michelle Donohoo will be serving as Treasurer and Jaime Beckstead will be our Secretary. We are so excited to be a part of your children’s upcoming school year.
As we are all new to this school, we would like to take this opportunity to reach out to each and everyone one of you to ask for your help and support of Blackridge Elementary. We can’t wait to meet you and learn more about you and your families, but with students coming from at least 4 different schools, it is impossible for us to get to know each of your families prior to school starting. This is where we need your help.
Are you a baker? A radio DJ? Work in restaurant? What we are really asking is “Do you have any resources that will help benefit our PTA and school? “ If so and you are willing to donate to our PTA, will you please let us know. You can contact anyone of us individually or you can send us a quick message at ptablackridge@gmail.com. We aren’t asking for a lot, we would just like to know what resources we may have available to our school and students.
Even without resources to offer, we still need your support. With this being our first year, we want to make it as memorable as we can. We are going to need to work with you on our team to make sure this happens. We recently sent out information on areas and committees that we will need help. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up, please click here and let us know in which area you would like to help. Once the school year begins, we will be sending membership envelopes home with your students as well as being available at school activities to ensure that everyone has the chance to be a part of our AWESOME PTA.
One last item – we would love to have your input on some of the programs we are planning for the upcoming school year. Again, we cannot wait for this new school year. Our administration and teaching staff are working hard to make sure everything is ready for you and your students and we are working hard to make sure this is a fun and memorable year. We can’t wait to meet each of you and begin to build a strong foundation of tradition for Blackridge Elementary and our community.
